In a show of solidarity, TMCC-NFA Local 6766 members spent an afternoon lending their support to United Auto Workers (UAW) members in their labor action against the Big Three Automakers. The effort was organized through our affiliation with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), a member of the AFL-CIO's network of labor organizations.
Many of the issues confronting NSHE professionals, such as adequate cost of living adjustments and fair salary structures, are similar to those which caused UAW workers to walk off the job over two weeks ago.
